An inspiration walked into my job today, seeking to enroll his newborn. I couldn't help to notice he was wearing a hoodie with the Boston Latin across it, I ask are you a Coach he replied yes " I am the JV football Coach", I am however preparing to run the Boston Marathon in a few days". Instantly I started picking his brain and asking advice on tips on training, diet etc....
A rather lengthy email... but if you make it to the end, there's a cute photo of our new little daughter!
Hi everyone,
This Spring has been a very eventful one for the McQuade family. We welcomed our little girl Katharine Eleanor into our family on EasterSunday afternoon... Maria is loving being a big sister and a preschooler... and we're preparing for me to run the Boston Marathon on April 18th! I'll be running for Boston Children's Hospital as part of their Miles for Miracles team for the NINTH time. This experience has been a blessing each and every year, and I have been overwhelmed with all of the support from you, my family and friends, both for my run and with donations for the hospital.
Make a gift to Boston Children's Hospital
As of today I have raised $3,892.20 for Children's. My goal is $6,000, and I'm hoping to reach that milestone by the time that I reach the Start line in Hopkinton on Marathon Monday. Please help me by making a gift today by visiting http://fundraise.childrenshospital.org/goto/mcquade2016. Your gift is 100% tax-deductible and will help the doctors and nurses at the hospital continue to provide world-class care for all of the kids and their families.

Updates
We ran another very successful Marathon March Madness contest to raise money for Children's. It came down to the final game and it took the tie-breaker to decide the winner, but my wife Betsy McQuade had the winning bracket! Call it new motherly intuition!
Speaking of being a new mother, we also ran a very successful Baby Pool! Katharine Eleanor McQuade was born on March 27, 2016 and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz. Friends and family guessed whether Katharine was a boy or a girl, what date she would arrive, and how much she would weigh. Although Betsy's Aunt Marijo guessed the closest date (April 1) and a few others guessed April 2, my co-worker Alyssa Sarkis guessed correctly that Katharine was a girl and would weigh 7 lbs 5 oz. She guessed April 3rd for the date. Congratulations to Alyssa for winning the $50 gift certificate to Bertucci's!
As promised, here is a cute photo of Katharine Eleanor. She couldn't be cuter or more cuddly and she'll certainly be a major source of inspiration as I run 26.2 miles for Boston Children's Hospital.
hank you for all of your love and support!
Gratefully,
Tim
