WHITE STADIUM

The City envisions revitalizing White Stadium as the centerpiece of BPS athletics and a hub for community.

White Stadium was constructed in 1945 in the Playstead area of Franklin Park. Since then, it has served as a home for many Boston athletes and community members. Unfortunately, today the stadium is in a state of disrepair and in need of revitalization. It does not meet current codes or accessibility requirements. It also lacks the spaces and amenities needed to be a citywide resource for BPS athletics.

The City and BPS envision revitalizing White Stadium as a centerpiece of BPS athletics. We are planning a significant investment in the stadium and athletic facilities.

In 2023, we launched an updated needs assessment of the facility. The assessment found that many spaces need to be improved and expanded. Improvements will include an expanded staff office, a modernized press box, improved locker rooms, and an 8-lane track.

We will also add new programs. These may include a strength and conditioning suite, a gymnasium, an indoor turf field, a community space, and a student resource space. The FY24 Capital Plan proposes $10.5 million to fund the design.

Welcome to the Dreams Are Tangible Goals Space

In our very first episode we will delve into the power of visualization and its ability to turn dreams into reality. We will explore how setting clear and specific goals in running can make a significant impact on performance. Additionally, we will discuss various visualization techniques that can enhance motivation and help runners achieve their dreams.

We will also delve into the science behind visualization and its effects on the brain. We will share inspiring success stories of runners who have utilized visualization to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Furthermore, practical tips and exercises will be provided for incorporating visualization into a running routine.

We will explore different visualization techniques such as guided imagery and mental rehearsal, highlighting their role in building mental toughness. Additionally, we will discuss how visualization can help runners stay focused and maintain a positive mindset during races.

It is important to note that visualization extends beyond running and can be applied to other areas of life. We will highlight the broader benefits of visualization and its potential to positively impact various aspects of our lives.

The Baggage of White Guilt is Heavy !

We are all witness and living the great awakening. Peace and blessings to everyone who checked in with me from student athletes to my peers in my beloved coaching fraternity. Today’s topic is a touch one, very often avoided. My thoughts is for those who live a righteous life they too are affected this abuse is mental. We must have this constructive dialogue there is no difference between George Floyd & JFK both were killed by the same enemy. Eradicating systematic oppression states with you and I. The fight for liberty Justice for all never ended, same game different names and different faces.

@RobParkerFS1 When We Look Back, Colin Kaepernick Will Be on the Right Side of History

Yes great piece by @RobparkerFs1 I am glad he utilized his platform to express this sentiment. When we look back to the “Great Awakening”, Colin Kaepernick will be recognized as an agent of change, a true American Hero. Colin was ostracized because some didn’t want him to bring politics to the NFL locker rooms and sidelines, instead he sparked a dialouge after being blackballed less than three years later, our beloved President has failed to live up to his words, of making “America Great Again”. Salute Rob Parker for this piece it was inspirational, please share.

Madame Liberty things are difficult right now

Madame Liberty, things are difficult right now. I am puzzled with what happened between you and me . I am the son of the African Diaspora; my contributions to mankind weren’t sufficient ? I feel maybe I was led on ? What happened in our relationship ? I forgave you for cheating on me for capital interest.

We should talk about liberty and justice for all . Remember equality for all ? You know my older sisters, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, had groomed me for this moment. My big sisters raised me to lead; haven't I done that with all the adversity and hurdles to clear ? Haven't I expressed my unconditional love to you ? My actions speak louder than words, but right now I am hurting. My family is fed up, my family is sick and tired of being sick and tired of our relationship woes.

Media outlets are sharing visuals and breaking stories; are they seeking the truth, though ? Or are some covering the corrupt injustice system ? Babes, I have mixed emotions. Are we not going to weather this storm ? This can't be the end . My uncles Martin & Malcolm told me about this marathon they were engaged in with you. I would have similar experiences if we hadn’t changed our ways. I understand that one bad apple shouldn't ruin the bunch, but what's going on with the crop and harvest ?

 What am I asking for ? To honor my human rights. Help the traumatic mental, physical, physiological, social and emotional effects your brothers of Willie Lynch and Jim Crow have done to my family, by denouncing the doctrine of your uncles, rebuking injustice everywhere. Many are going to comment on our relationship, because they only see bad things. Amongst the war with the unseen enemy, are relationship woes have been considered the Great Awakening. Our peers in other relationships are watching. Are we being loyal to our union ?

Are we abiding by the constitution our ancestors swore on on Juneteenth and Fourth of July ?
