Day 30 of COVID-19. Worldwide we are all in it together. In these times positive vibes only. Many of us have been inside our homes, entertained by various mediums. The IG Battles have been innovative, genuinely the intentions where to spread love. Salute to all the artists, who have taken their crafts serious and utilize their platforms to spread love and awareness.

Growing up my father played so many great bands, Earth Wind & Fire, Parliament Funk. As youth I would hear stories of the Mothership landing in Boston. James Brown standing in downtown talking to the people after Dr.King was assassinated. Once again the musical genius are at again, this time I will tell my future family, about the greatness of the Roots Crew.

The standard has been set, if you aren’t familiar with the Tariq Trotter aka Black Thought & Ahmir Khalib Thompson aka Questlove the founders of the Legendary Roots Crew. Amazing how time flies, I have attempted to be consistent on this platform, unfortunately i have moved twice since the last post. Sorry for the delay the back drop is that I can say, I was the first to book Gangsta Gibbs and bring him to Boston (Middle East) Reks was the opening acts and Freddie was the headliner. Due to me coming full circle I am no longer running actively in the same circles so we lost some contact. However I am blessed and more pleased to see my guy crushing things a decade later.

The album Bandana has been in heavy rotation since it drop, a few months ago. The album has grown on me, I needed some real boom bap hiphop beats, with some top tier bars to compliment it, Madlib & Gangsta Gibbs didn’t disappoint.. Usually it tough to follow up the first project, which was Pianta which was released in 2014.

Single and video for Crime pays was released earlier in the year, ironically one of the last post i have done. My favorite joints on this album is Palmolive, Fake Names , Flat Tummy Tea, Giannis feat. Beautiful Saturday Morning, started the day with great conversation with my brother from another JFK Co-Owner of ShowOff Records partner with Statik Selektah. We were just catching up on and typical politics involved in the music industry, he had finished working an overnight and was heading to the gym. The underlying theme of our conversation was consistency and respecting the process.  

I created this website with intent with purpose but scattered focus because of scattered ideas, the lack of consistent posting has alot to due with my ADHD, and i have been taking the proper measures to address my issues. I am looking forward to sharing my trails and tribulations.  God Willing through my journey I can expire you in the unseen who is reading this that is never too late to accomplish anything you want in this Life. Since the business of Hiphop was on my mind I wanted to create and share a the music playlist that I ran to today.

Day 3 - Weather 43 Degrees - 5:43 am

Thank you creator for a new day new opportunities, this morning was fulfilling, due to the wind I decided to take my talents to Planet Fitness. I started off with 15 mins of stretching. After getting a little loose I went on the treadmill the fulfillment came when I finished a mile non-stop. At the half mile mark I wanted to stop and walk, the last 800 meters especially the last two days I would walk the 1st half mile and jog the other half mile. Today was different felt the strength at the half mile mark to continue which I did. Far as I am concern this is progress and it's motivation to continue.The Soundtrack for the morning was from the boys from 215, World Famous Legendary Roots Crew. Regardless I have a long way to go, In the meanwhile  I feel stronger everyday, I came into work and my boss mentioned she noticed the difference, I have lost 7 lbs since last week I am currently 193 lbs. The next phase in reaching my goals is my diet. I never said no to Steak N Cheese, with cooked onions, peppers, mushrooms and ketchup and mayo toast the bread SMDH. My lady says I use food as a drug, she maybe right, lmaooo.. OKAY SHE IS RIGHT Recently I have been drinking more water, haven't been eating fast food. My cheat day last friday was sushi, I feel like I am making leaps I would have gotten my usual Schezuan Chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice, 3 appetizers (Crab Ragoon, Chicken Wings, Beef Teryiaki) - side note just want to salute my new joint Yummy Teriyaki <----- Don't sleep on this spot if you are in North Boston area
